Andrew Byrnes is the founder and director of Andrew Byrnes Law Group.​

Andrew is highly experienced in a number of different areas of law, having handled everything from high profile, human rights based challenges to criminal prosecutions, to commercial disputes and transactional matters for businesses, to technical medical negligence cases, to wills and estate matters, for example. The list goes on.​​​​

This diverse experience is one of his strengths – it means he looks at legal problems differently from the rest with one goal in mind – results for clients, and nothing else. Andrew loves a fight and is not afraid of any battle – big or small.​​​​

Tiffany grew up in Western Sydney before moving to Canberra where she graduated from the Australian National University with Honours. She has a wealth of experience in criminal law, training under esteemed counsel before she began appearing in ACT and NSW court matters. Tiffany has acted in a range of matters from drink drive and protection matters, to more serious offences such as weapons charges and murder. She has gained a reputation in the legal community for being hard working and unwavering in her commitment to her clients, with a keen interest in addressing police over-reach to ensure that her client’s time in court is both just and fair.

After seeing her in action, Andrew Byrnes Law Group headhunted Tiffany to join our ranks, knowing that we couldn’t let the opportunity to hire a talented lawyer like her pass us by. Tiffany has brought with her an unwavering focus and a commitment to her clients that is unmatched. She also came as a package deal bringing with her ‘Cookie’, her toy spoodle who has become our resident ‘Paw-alegal’, however Cookie can often see things a little too black and white.

Asfandyar (Ash) Shaffi.

Raised in a military family in both Pakistan and Australia and completing his law studies at the University of Canberra, Ash brings a rigorous and disciplined approach to his clients’ matters, leaving no stone unturned in analysing his legal cases with a military-like rigour. He also applies a calm and level-headed approach to high-pressure Court situations and applies which we suspect was a by-product of his upbringing.

But, make no mistake, despite this disciplined upbringing, Ash is not cold in his dealings with his clients. He brings a warmth and compassion that makes him the right combination of focused and caring, which is why so many clients trust him with their criminal and civil legal matters – no matter how big or small the problem is, he’s the lawyer you need on your case.
